For this design development project our studio explored different centerlock designs, with a particular focus on themes and geometry. Most of the outer locking rings were based on existing production vehicle locking nuts. We took this opportunity to also create center cap designs that matched the thematic approach. With every major design we finalized, the 3D models were prepared for 3D printing and all the models were produced and assembled in-house at our rapid prototyping department, Balonbay 3D Laser Scanning.
