Merceeds-Benz's performance division, AMG, was caught testing a more beefed up version of the GT-R, which has proven to be the Pro.

The Pro, is one step further than the maniac driven GT-R, which is, by no means, a slouch - a true 911 GT3 RS rival, which you can't say that there's many out there.

While the power is the same rated at 577 HP, AMG changed the suspension dampers, allowing the driver to tweak it by their own liking, there's a new antiroll bar in the front, made of carbon fiber, which host "Uniball spherical bearings". The "Track Package", which was optional on the GT-R, is standard here ( rollcage and fire extinguisher in the back ). The aerodynamics have been pampered as well, as one can notice the fins in the front bumper, a lower apron which holds a wider splitter - all these help keep the car more focused on the road.

As for numbers, since winter is being felt more and more in Europe, AMG managed to set a time of 7:04.632 on the 'Ring, which is already 6s faster than the GT-R. AMG promised to be back once the warm weather sets in, should we expect a sub 7min barrier break?
