Last week, Ferrari released information of a new formula they been brewing for the 488, named Pista. It's here to fill shoes for the 458 Speciale, or the 430 Challenge Stradale, prior to 430 Scuderia and probably steal a piece of the cake ( if not all of it ) from the 720s McLaren.

It's being powered by a twin-turbo V8, capable of developing 711HP and 770Nm of torque, making this gem of an engine, the most powerful V8 unit built by Ferrari. Performance figures are as follows - it sprints to 100km.h in 2.85s and 7.6s to 200km. In aid of performance, they also put the car on a diet, weighting 1280kg, 90kg less than the normal 488.

Ferrari used state of the art technology and aerodynamics, borrowed from the World Endurance Series and the one-make Ferrari Challenge, increasing the downforce by 20% compared to 488.

Design wise, the car has received significant changes, redesigned intake ducts, imposing diffuser, a full blown spoiler and an F1-inspired S-duct. Under the shell, you can expect all kinds of treats, like a standard Side-Slip Angle Control 6, E-Diff3, F1-Trac, magnetorheological suspension, and the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer which automatically adjusts brake pressure on the calipers.

The car will be on display at Geneva International Auto Salon, starting the 6th of March.
