2013 Ford Shelby GT500 Convertible

During the Chicago Motor Show, Ford has announce the convertible version of the Shelby GT500.
The new GT500 Convertible is powered by the same unit found in its coupe sibling - a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 engine. It develops 650 hp and 813 Nm of torque, being able to reach a limited top speed of 250Km.h
"The Shelby GT500 convertible is every bit the performer that the coupe is. All of the significant changes we made in the program were instrumental in delivering a convertible that could really shine on the track but can still be driven on a daily basis." - said Kerry Baldori, SVT Global Performance Vehicles chief engineer.
Production of the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 will begin at the AutoAlliance International Plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.
