2019 Canadian International Auto Show Coverage Part 3

And here is Part 3 coverage of the 2019 Canadian International Auto Show! Strolling through the North Hall, we came across the Volkswagen I.D. R. An electric-powered race car designed and intended for Pikes Peak Hill Climb. Great achievement from Volkswagen and a very neat design to see in-person.

In Part 2 of our CIAS coverage, we cover and wrap up the South Hall booths. Continuing from Lexus, they had the LF-1 Limitless Concept on a spinning display. It was released last year but new to the Canadian market. The design has nice surface detail and it'll be interesting to see Lexus' design language moving forward for the crossover platform.

2019 Canadian International Auto Show Coverage Part 1

The Canadian International Auto Show takes place around the same time every year, at the same place (Metro Toronto Convention Center) here in Toronto, Canada - where Ps-Garage is headquartered! Here is our exclusive coverage of the 2019 CIAS!

First off, Ford brought out a brand new GT on display. This one was shown in classic blue with white stripes, gorgeous, as usual, and we never get tired of seeing them. Fun fact: Ford GT is manufactured locally, here in Toronto!

Remember the P15 codename? Well, here it is, McLaren is presenting us their new hypercar which isn't out to replace the P1 - that's another story, for another time.

So, what makes it special? In few words, it's an extreme road car, the most extreme car McLaren ever got out and the design sure expresses it. The car is an extension of the 720s' platform an chassis, but with a wider track, huge air intakes and an all-so dramatic rear wing.
